A Sane Asylum

This is the story of an improbable quest made by a reluctant hero to one of the world’s most dangerous places. Joe Addison is a political journalist, a seasoned cynic who discovers a cause that he might actually die for when he dares to visit the newly declared enclave of Iraqi Kurdistan. The air still smells of the aftermath of the First Gulf War, in a country reduced to ruin. He is looking for a man he doesn’t know, at the behest of an anxious wife and her beautiful daughter. He sends himself on a quest that, from the outset, he has declared impossible.
