KINDL – Centre for Contemporary Art is showing the new series "Berlin Fassaden" by the sculptor Asta Gröting. The point of departure for the sculptures in "Berlin Fassaden" is stories that are inscribed in the walls of buildings in Berlin—facades that still contain traces of the war in the form of bullet holes. Asta Gröting replicates the damaged walls in sculpture by making silicone impressions of them.
Shows & Exhibitions
Sonic Rebellion: Music as Resistance is inspired by the vital history of music in Detroit and the legacy of the 1967 Detroit Rebellion. The show connects these historic events to more recent social movements, from Occupy to Black Lives Matter, illustrating threads between past protests and the unresolved racial politics in the United States today. One major such thread is the role of music as a catalyst for social change and empowerment.

Selected Works: Raha Raissnia is an exhibition of Raissnia's dense explorations of light which manifest as works on paper, paintings and film installations. Described as a "night-painter," one that Milton Cruz situates as having a habit of "starting from the other side of things," Raissnia's works emerge from stillness, silence and darkness whilst operating at the fleeting moment of being half-awake, as light flutters between the hallucinatory state that is difficult to wrap around consciousness
