The Wainwrights in Colour

The Wainwrights in Colour by Andy Beck has won both BBC Countryfile Magazine Book of the Year and The Great Outdoors Magazine Outdoor Book of the Year.  All of the 1500 watercolour sketches from The Wainwrights in Colour project by Andy Beck are here in one 360-page volume. This unique undertaking has seen Andy visiting every single location where Wainwright stood to take the photographs for the detailed illustrations featured in his seven Pictorial Guides to the Lakeland Fells. Each sketch shows the scene as it looks today with notes describing changes in the landscape which have taken place over the last 50 years. Nearly ten years of dedicated work have gone into producing all of these sketches and are included in this limited run book, a must for all lovers of the Lake District Fells and the work of Alfred Wainwright. Each book includes a 17 minute DVD and all of the 5000 copies have been signed and numbered by the artist/author.
